Pippi Longstocking is the fictional main character in an eponymous series of children's books by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Iconic to not only Sweden, but to the entire world, Pippi has been inspiring children’s imaginations for generations. We at Happy Socks had the immense pleasure of working with the Astrid Lindgren Company to create some amazing products, displays, and window designs to promote our collaboration with them and help spread the love of Pippi Longstocking. Even better was that part of every sale was donated to the Pippi of Today initiative, from the Astrid Lindgren Company, which supports millions of girls who are forced to leave their homes for a brighter future, in collaboration with Save the Children.

Working in a great collaborative group with the Creative Director and Marketing coordinator between Happy Socks and the Astrid Lindgren Company, I had the honor of designing the window display for one of the most beloved collaborations Happy Socks has done. Utilizing the beautiful artwork shared with us by the Astrid Lindgren Company, while incorporating the custom created ones by the art department team in house, made for one of the most exciting window designs I have done to date. Really digging into the most iconic areas and characters that made Pippi known worldwide, it was a window which was as much fun to make as it was to see come to life in person.
